Ice Cream Einstein

If you know me, you will be familiar with my penchant for, er, less conventional food and flavour combinations.
I'm not a 'real fan' of ice cream but I reckon there's a strong possibility that I can be converted...
Bring on the Jesus Juice...

Ice cream made with red wine, foie gras, peas...

Prawn and asparagus salad

I am a salad addict. I will literally put anything in a salad.
All you need is some leaves and some imagination.
I've been known to have Bolognese salads, stir fry salads, in fact, despite my childhood dislike of 'left-overs' (I felt I was being short changed, how DARE Mummy try and hoodwink us by serving up the same thing twice in short succession....) I actually LOVE left-over-salads or in this case using-up-what-you-have-salads.
Last night I chucked some big fat juicy prawns (lurking in the freezer) in the pan with a massive chunk of ginger, nearly a whole bulb of garlic (yes, bulb, not clove),  a small red onion, a handful of sesame seeds, half a lonesome courgette, a sprinking of soy sauce and a dash of thai fish sauce.
I then made a comfy little bed of mixed salad leaves, played pikastix with some asapargus spears and lay the darling little prawns and co., on top.
This was of course all complimented by the classic olive oil-balasmic vinegar-dijon mustard-dressing.
And black pepper.
And Tabasco (which is a WHOLE story in itself...)
